What the enquiry form collects
The form asks for your name, work email, phone number (optional), building class or contract, and number of dwellings. The form on the page for building surveyors also has an optional "Referred by" field. With each enquiry the site records the page you sent it from, the time it arrived, your browser's user agent string and a Cloudflare request ID.
Why we collect it
We use these details to reply to your enquiry, to offer compilation dates that suit your completion or occupancy permit date, and to keep a record of what you asked. We do not use them for anything else.
Where it is stored
The site runs on Cloudflare. Each enquiry is stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, and a copy is emailed to our business inbox. Cloudflare also keeps a short-lived log of each submission so we can fix faults. Cloudflare and our email provider may store this information on servers outside Australia.
The form can use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person sent it. Turnstile reads information about your browser and device, which Cloudflare handles under its privacy policy.
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and records no personal identifiers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are deleted automatically 12 months after they arrive, and we delete the matching emails from our inbox on the same schedule. If your enquiry becomes a job, we keep the details needed for that job until it is finished.
Who sees it
We never sell your details or share them for marketing. Cloudflare and our email provider handle them only to run the site and deliver our email.
Access, correction and deletion
To see the details we hold about you, correct them or have them deleted, email enquiries@handovermanual.com.au with your HM- reference number or the email address you used on the form.
Client project documents
When an enquiry becomes a job, you send us project documents to compile into the handover manual. We hold them only for that job and keep them confidential. After handover, we delete them or return them to you when you ask.
